Daniel S. Kaplan, Senior Partner and founder of the firm, was born in Paterson, New Jersey (birthplace of Lou Costello and Larry Doby). With more than thirty-seven years experience in corporate law, he is well known and well regarded in the community for his area of focus: Mergers and Acquisitions. He has assisted over one thousand clients and businesses with dispositions and acquisitions and is distinguished by his ability to resolve business disputes in a variety of ways.

Mr. Kaplan has a B.A. from Vanderbilt University. He obtained his J.D., with honors, from the University of Texas and is currently admitted to practice in Rhode Island, Illinois and New York. He is the past president of the Alperin-Schechter Day School and the past vice-president of both Temple Emanu-El and the Jewish Federation of Rhode Island. He is a graduate of Leadership Rhode Island.
